As co-founder and Executive Director, Connie promotes CCP’s mission to advocate for health and social justice through community development, grassroots leadership development, and coalition building.  During her 30-year tenure at PHI, she’s demonstrated an extensive ability to manage the dynamic interactions across people, relationships, and place.

Connie guides CCP’s organizational and programmatic priorities including its training and technical assistance programs, leadership development initiatives, and community building efforts. She is a skilled trainer and facilitator with more than 30 years of experience working in the public health field. By pairing popular education methods with a strength-based approach, she engages diverse audiences to learn, adapt best practices, and maximize their capacity to affect social change.

Connie graduated from the University of California, Davis with degrees in Biological Sciences and Political Science and received her Master’s Degree in Public Health from San Jose State University, CA. She’s a proud parent of three young adults and a precocious 3 year old black lab, and in her spare moments enjoys hiking, reading, 70’s music, and quality time with family and friends.
