Help keep Sacramento youth safe!
Do you care about the future of young people in Sacramento County? Interested in learning how to become a prevention advocate? Does working with other youth or parents and caregivers to prevent underage drinking in Sacramento County appeal to you? If so, we invite you to join Youth Engaged in Action (YEA) or Families and Communities Together (Families ACT) Prevention Advocates Programs to take action to prevent the harmful consequences of youth drinking too early, too often, and too much.

New participants are welcome!

Contact Ha N. Tank at ha@connectccp.org or 916-498-6960 for the date and location of the next meeting in Sacramento County.

What are the Families ACT and YEA Prevention Advocates Programs?

Families ACT (for parents and caregivers) and YEA (for youth 12-20) will provide training and leadership building opportunities to prevent the high human and financial cost of underage drinking. These programs will work with youth and parents/caregivers to:

• Learn about substance/alcohol abuse prevention
• Create an action plan to prevent underage drinking in Sacramento County
• Work with other parents and youth to gather community data and stories
• Gain leadership skills by making presentations and learning how to advocate
• Take action as an advocate to lead prevention efforts!
