What are the Families ACT and YEA Prevention Advocates Programs?

Families ACT (for parents and caregivers) and YEA (for youth 12-18) will provide training and leadership building opportunities to prevent the high human and financial cost of underage drinking. These programs will work with youth and parents/caregivers to:

• Learn about substance/alcohol abuse prevention
• Create an action plan to prevent underage drinking in Sacramento County
• Work with other parents and youth to gather community data and stories
• Gain leadership skills by making presentations and learning how to advocate
• Take action as an advocate to lead prevention efforts!
